MSP 2008 Summer Workshop, June 16 - 21

     **NEWS**

  1. Bring a light jacket or sweater, the room will slightly chilly.  You can leave it in the room all week so you don't have to carry it back and forth.
  2. Bring a bag to carry items in to and from the dorm.
  3. Bring your TI 83 or 84 calculators. 
  4. Bring a small Laser pointer if you have one.  

     Housing and Meals:

  • Housing: Dorm check-in starting at noon, NWQ (map).  Please go to the front desk of NWQ building B and check in at the front desk.  They will provide you with your dorm access and keys.  

 

  • Meals:  All meals will be taken in the NWQ Dinning Facilities located in building B. All commuter MSP participants are asked to eat lunch and dinner with the group.  All meals are covered by the MSP grant.  Dorm rooms have a mini fridge and microwave oven.  All participants will receive a lanyard either at dorm check in or at the meeting at 4:00 on Monday.  You must wear the Lanyard when eating at the NWQ Dinning Facilities. Hours are as follows:
  • BREAKFAST
    Monday – Friday
    7am - 8am
  • LUNCH/BRUNCH
    Monday – Friday
    11:30am - 1pm
  • DINNER
    Monday - Friday
    5pm - 630pm

 

     Parking: Visitor passes may be obtained for the week from Parking and Transit 
  • Please buy visitor parking passes as soon as you arrive in town before checking into the dorm or arriving at the SCEN building.  The MSP grant will only be able to reimburse visitor parking passes and not daily parking tickets for the parking deck.  Please visit the parking and transit web site for more information and please keep your receipt to submit with your travel expense form.

     Monday, June 16

  • Start Time: 4:00 pm (SCEN 104) (map)
  • A working dinner will be provided
  • Preliminary paperwork and conceptual testing 
  • End Time: Approximately 8:00 pm

     Tuesday, June 17

  • Morning Session: 9:00 -12:00 noon
  • Lunch Break: 12:00 - 1:00pm
  • Afternoon Session: 1:00 - 5:00 pm  
  • Dinner Break: 5:00 - 6:00 pm 
  • Evening Session: 6:00 - 7:30 pm 

     Wednesday, June 18

  • Morning Session: 9:00 -12:00 noon
  • Lunch Break: 12:00 - 1:00pm
  • Afternoon Session: 1:00 - 5:00 pm  
  • Dinner Break: 5:00 - 6:00 pm 
  • Evening Activity or Free Time
